  2.                 Announcing PCQ Pascal version 1.2d

  4. A friend of mine recently pointed out that not only was I not
  5. making any money from PCQ Pascal, but in fact with disks, postage,
  6. packing material, telephone bills, documentation, etc, I was
  7. actually spending a lot more than I was taking in.  In an effort
  8. to shrink that gap, I am now offering a registered version of PCQ
  9. Pascal for $25 US.  From now on, the freely distributable version
  10. of PCQ Pascal will remain version 1.2b, although I will still fix
  11. bugs as they appear (the version will remain at 1.2b, but the date
  12. will be kept current).  The unregistered version will consist of:

  14.     Pascal        Version 1.2b of the compiler
  15.     Pascal.DOC    The documentation file
  16.     Peep        The peephole optimizer
  17.     Include        The 1.3 include files
  18.     Examples    Several example programs
  19.     Make        A simple 'make' script
  20.     PCQ.lib        The 1.3 runtime library

  22. For the $25 registration fee, you will receive:

  24.     Pascal        Version 1.2d of the compiler, which now
  25.             includes variant records, an execution
  26.             profiler, CHIP and FAST keywords, access
  27.             to mathtrans.library for Cos(), Sin(),
  28.             etc., (* and *) comments, C calling
  29.             conventions, variable numbers of
  30.             parameters, and many other new features.
  31.     PCQ        A very flexible 'make' utility with many
  32.             options, including the ability to define
  33.             multi-file 'projects'.
  34.     Peep        The peephole optimizer
  35.     Pascal.DOC    The main documentation file
  36.     PCQ.doc        Documentation for the PCQ utility
  37.     PCQ.lib.DOC    Documentation for all the routines defined
  38.             in the Include:Utils directory, in a format
  39.             compatible with DME's REF feature.
  40.     Include        The 1.3 include files, plus the 2.0 include
  41.             files when they become available.
  42.     Examples    Several example programs
  43.     PCQ.lib        The 1.3 runtime library, plus the 2.0
  44.             runtime library when it becomes available.
  45.     Source        The source code for the run-time library

  48. For an additional $15, you will receive a printed, bound version
  49. of Pascal.DOC and PCQ.lib.DOC.  These are not just hardcopies of
  50. the files, however - they are completely reformatted to take
  51. advantage of the printer.  They even have complete indexes.

  53. Registered users will recieve updates for the price of a disk and
  54. postage, including the 2.0 include files and runtime library as
  55. soon as they are available (updating for AmigaDOS 2.0 is one of
  56. several impending expenses that caused me to consider a registered
  57. version).  If you have sent me money in the past I will be happy
  58. to apply it to your registration fee.  You'll have to remind me
  59. about it, however, because until now there wasn't any reason to
  60. keep track.
